It’s more unusual to see Serena Williams, or her sister Venus, without a trophy rather than with one, but judging from Serena’s smiling, winning never gets old. With her 6th Sony Open title, Serena knows holds the distinction of having won the most Sony Open championships ever. No wonder Serena is ranked the #1 woman tennis player in the world! She told reporters afterwards:
“It feels really good. At the start of the tournament, I definitely didn’t feel like I would be here, not with the way I was playing.
“I finally have some record. It’s really cool. I can’t seem to catch up with Margaret Court or Steffi, so I’m really happy to have something going right now.”
I’m guessing it’s going to be a happy Easter for Serena. Congratulations!
