CNNGo TV in Busan: From film fests to fresh seafood

Often overshadowed by Korea's capital, CNNGo TV shows why Busan is an attraction in its own right

Seoul's wingman? Not quite. 

One of the biggest international film festivals in Asia, the most popular baseball team in Korea, the largest fish market in the country -- Busan, the second-largest city in South Korea, has a good claim for being the most fun.

Busan Cinema Center

BIFF is held each September. The futuristic Busan Cinema Center is its structural showpiece.

The complex includes an outdoor theater and a performing arts theater featuring grand stage performances.

Geumjeongsanseong Fortress

Busan East GateAt Geumjeongsanseong Fortress, thousands of years of Korean history come together. Located on the peak of Mount Geumjeongsan in Busan, Geumjeong Fortress (17,377 meters long) is the largest fortess in Korea.

It's believed that the fortress was built in the Three Kingdoms Period (4th to 7th centuries) and renovated in the early 1700s.

Sajik Baseball Ground

Sajik BusanDon't like baseball? Try some a cappella karaoke. If you're looking for cheap and cheerful activities, a Busan Lotte Giants game at Sajik Baseball Ground is a good choice.

Tickets are as cheap as $7 and you can bring your own food and drink.

As well as being a baseball stadium, it can often feel and sound like a giant karaoke bar, thanks to vocally harmonious fans.

Busan universityBusan's university district is always lively. Bars, restaurants and clubs are crammed together in street after street in the city's lively university district.
